Ambient 1: Music for Airports is an album by English musician Brian Eno, released in 1978 by Polydor Records.
It was the first that the artist released in a series of 4 ambient albums, a term coined by Eno himself to differentiate his experiments on background music from the works of companies that make commercial background music such as elevator music by Muzak Holdings.
Ambient 3: Day of Radiance is a record album by the American musician Laraaji (stage name of Edward Larry Gordon) produced by Brian Eno and released in 1980.
This is the third installment of Eno's Ambient series, the latter begun with Ambient 1: Music for Airports (1978), as well as the only one of the four installments of the series not to be composed by the British musician Eno: the album's music was in fact composed and performed by Laaraji and rearranged in the studio by Brian Eno.
Ambient 4: On Land is the eighth studio album by British musician Brian Eno, released in 1982 by E.G. records.
Last chapter of the Ambient series, the album is characterized by the presence of archetypes referable to the dark ambient.
