Beautiful example of the sought after hot hatch in original condition. This first series, 106 Rallye, is finished in the relatively rare, red paint and is currently in very good condition. The car only had three owners from new; all of which are friends. It was originally sold in their hometown in Portugal and thanks to that, the cars history was preserved and is well known by the seller.
The exterior is in very good condition. It was repainted recently because there were some signs of the paint ageing and the clear coat was sunburned with age. The seller is sure that the car has never been in an accident and that the chassis is intact. Thanks to the Portuguese climate, the car has no signs of rust and remains in great shape.
The interior is all original and was purposefully built by Peugeot. It is very simple and it doesn't have anything it doesn't need. That is the kind of simplicity that gear-heads love. Not only is it original but its also in great condition. There are very few signs of wear and it looks great.
The engine is running good and strong. Recently the seller performed a general overhaul that included, new tires and timing belt, among other things. This tiny hot-hatch is powered by a 1294cc four cylinder engine that delivers 101hp to the front wheels via a five-speed gearbox. Very interesting and enjoyable numbers for a car that, according to Peugeot, only weights around 810kg.
